Boom Yam has over a decade of experience building and managing client relationships. In her current role as the Head of Sales, she oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of acquiring clients as well as the business development aspects of Spark Systems. Additionally, Boon Yam works closely with the internal teams to transform Spark Systems into a resilient sustainable FX Aggregator.
Before joining Spark Systems, she has worked at Thomson Reuters & FX Alliance as a Client Relationship Manager; where, over different periods of time, she managed client relationships in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. She has also worked with Bloomberg, first as a Customer Support Specialist in the Analytics Department and later with Bloomberg Tradebook Singapore as a member of the Asia sales/trading desk that supported Tradebook’s electronic trading platform.
Earlier in her career, Boon Yam joined The Tokai Bank (now part of Mitsubishi UFJ Bank) as a Dealer and went on to become the Assistant Manager handling corporate customer transactions, managing the bank’s Nostro accounts, and played a role in resolving outstanding contracts during the 1997/8 Asian financial crisis.
Boon Yam graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore, before obtaining her Master of Applied Finance at Macquarie University, Australia.
